2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Track your goals and progress
  • Send Reality Sync challenges and reminders
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Communicate with you about the Service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not work with data brokers or advertisers. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Public Goals: If you choose to make goals public or share them in communities
  • Service Providers: With essential third-party services that help us operate (hosting, email delivery)

What we DON'T do: We do not respond to requests from press, private investigators, or authorities seeking user information. No exceptions. We do not cooperate with data requests unless compelled by valid legal process with proper jurisdiction.

4. Data Security and AI Processing

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

AI Privacy Protection Engine

When Reality Sync processes your data, we use advanced privacy protection. Your data is sent multiple times to various LLM providers with variant datasets - wrong age, wrong gender, wrong dates, wrong goals, etc. The LLM providers do receive your datasets, but cannot identify you because the real data is mixed with decoy information.

The correct data is taken while the others are discarded. This ensures AI processing while maintaining anonymity. Answers take time because the engine sometimes doesn't operate in real-time, especially when it needs to reflect on your plans. We can also send data across many hours to mix them for additional privacy. For the extremely paranoid, they can pay to use their own tokens, but that is an opt-in option, not the default.

5. Data Retention and Archival

We operate an immutable ledger system. When you request account "deletion," we archive rather than delete. Your goal data remains forever as part of the historical record, but all personal information is wiped.

  • Goal Data: Stored permanently in immutable ledger
  • Personal Information: Wiped upon archival request
  • Email: Hashed upon archival (not visible to us or anyone without the original)
  • Usage Logs: Up to 12 months

This is a ledger, not shop keeping notes. The integrity of goal history is maintained while respecting personal privacy through selective data removal.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: View the personal data we have about you
  • Update: Correct or update your information
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Download your goal data
  • Opt-out: Disable Reality Sync notifications

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies and technologies only for essential functions:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Improve performance and security

What we DON'T do: No tracking pixels, no behavioral profiling, no third-party analytics that identify you, no advertising cookies.

8. Third-Party Services

We use minimal third-party services, only what's essential:

  • Hosting: For application infrastructure
  • Email Delivery: For account notifications only

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers. No sponsor money, no "optimization" partnerships.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. International Data Processing

Our servers rotate locations at different intervals for security and performance. While the database is encrypted, the data can be processed and stored anywhere globally. By using the Service, you consent to this distributed, encrypted data processing model.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
